The 91st Academy Awards will be happening this Sunday in Hollywood! With Solo: A Star Wars Story nominated in the category of Best Visual Effects, Star Wars fans and creators alike are hopeful that another Oscar could be headed to a Galaxy far, far away.
Beyond Solo's Oscar nomination, we have also learned that several Star Wars alumni will be among the presenters during this Academy Awards ceremony. First of all, Diego Luna, who's best know to Star Wars fans as Cassian Andor in Rogue One (and an upcoming Disney+ series) will be presenting one of the eight Best Picture nominees. In addition, other Star Wars actors such as Emilia Clarke (Qi'ra), Laura Dern (Amilyn Holdo), Samuel L. Jackson (Mace Windu), and Daniel Craig (FN-1824) will all be on stage to present various Oscars to their winners.
It should also be noted that Star Wars: Episode IX stars Adam Driver (Kylo Ren) and Richard E. Grant deserve huge congratulations for their opposing nominations in the category of Best Actor In A Supporting Role. Driver garnered his nomination from his role BlacKkKlansman, while Grant was honored for his role in Can You Ever Forgive Me? May the Force be with them both!
