'The Mandalorian' Music Video Featuring Ludwig Göransson Revealed

One of the most awe inspiring aspects of The Mandalorian is its music, composed Oscar winner Ludwig Göransson. Last month we were treated to a behind the scenes look at the show in the docu-series Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian, one episode of which focused solely on Göransson and his technique for creating the musical score.

John Williams' Full Galaxy's Edge Musical Suite Has Been Released

One of the many gifts we've received from this new era of Star Wars is much more John Williams music. The legendary composer provided the scores for The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, gave Han Solo his musical theme in Solo: A Star Wars Story, and is still expected to score The Rise Of Skywalker later this year. But Williams is far from done with Star Wars, as it was previously announced that he would also be scoring the music for Galaxy's Edge, the upcoming Star Wars themed expansion to Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

John Williams Cancels Concert Appearance Due To Illness

If you're a Star Wars music fan, or just a aficionado of film scores in general, there is one name that comes to mind before any other: John Williams. The 86 year old composer has scored all eight episodic Star Wars films, and is expected to begin working on the ninth(and final) Star Wars episode very soon. But unfortunately it seems Mr. Williams might need our well wishes right now as new reports have stated that the living legend has fallen ill.

Watch Corey Dee Williams' "Cloud City Funk REMIX" Video From Star Wars Celebration & Dragon Con

Last year Corey Dee Williams (son of Lando Calrissian actor Billy Dee Williams) and his music project Three Dee Nucleus debuted a new song called Cloud City Funk and shot a video for it at Star Wars Celebration.  The video showed costumed fans dancing to the song and featured appearances from Star Wars actors Mark Hamill, Ray Park, and (of course) Billy Dee Williams.  Now Corey and Three Dee Nucleus have released a remixed version of the song and a new video to go with it.  The new video features more footage shot at Star Wars Celebration 2017, as well as Dragon Con 2017.  Check it out below,

John Powell Reveals Tracklist For 'Solo: A Star Wars Story' Soundtrack Album

Solo: A Star Wars Story composer John Powell has given fans a new little teaser about the film in the form of the track listing for the soundtrack which will be available the day of the film's release.  Powell posted the the listing on his Facebook page, along with a link to pre-order it.  Among the song titles are "Flying With Chewie", "Lando's Closet", "Good Thing You Were Listening," and the final track "Dice and Roll."  The first track on the soundtrack, titled "The Adventures of Han", is the new theme that legendary Star Wars composer John Williams contributed to the film.

Lucasfilm Releases "Scoring The Last Jedi: a 360 VR Experience" on YouTube

Lucasfilm has released a new behind the scenes featurette about the making of Star Wars: The Last Jedi on the official Star Wars YouTube channel.  The featurette focuses on the creation of the musical score for the film and features interviews with composer John Williams and writer/director Rian Johnson.  What sets this featurette apart from the rest is that it is a 360 VR experience, giving fans a unique look around the recording studio during the scoring sessions and the films sets during production.  The experience can be seen using your computer, your phone, or a VR headset that you load your phone into.  You can check it out for yourself below,

If you love the music of Star Wars (who doesn't?), this year's Star Wars Day will be an extra special one! Today, Lucasfilm and Disney Music Group announced that the soundtracks for the original six Star Wars films will re-released on May the 4th, 2018.

Rian Johnson Shares Behind The Scenes Video Of John Williams Conducting 'The Last Jedi' Score

Today has been a momentous day for the cast and crew of Star Wars: The Last Jedi after learning that their film has received four Oscar nominations. The Last Jedi was nominated in the categories of Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing, and Best Visual Effects, in addition to Best Original Score. Legendary composer John Williams now has a grand total of 51 Academy Award nominations thanks to Episode VIII.
