Ming-Na Wen Says She Was "Nervous" About Being In 'The Mandalorian'

Back at the D23 Expo in August, we learned that Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D. star Ming-Na Wen would have a role in The Mandalorian, the upcoming live action Star Wars series coming to Disney+.  Her involvement with the series was announced by Disney CEO Bob Iger at the Disney Legends award ceremony, where Wen was being honoured.  After the ceremony, Wen spoke with the media about what it was like to play a role in Star Wars, revealing that she was nervous about joining the series.

Details About The 'Galactic Starcruiser' Hotel And Experience Coming To Disney World Revealed At D23

The combining of Disney and Star Wars has produced countless amazing things, the largest and most recent example of this is Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. But, as expected, Disney is far from being done with infusing that Galaxy far, far away into Disney Parks.

Just recently Disney unveiled new details about the upcoming Star Wars-themed hotel coming to Walt Disney World Resort. Disney imagineers have been hard at work creating what is now being called  Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, which invites guest on a two night "voyage" aboard luxury starship. Just like Galaxy's Edge, the Galactic Starcruiser will be a completely in-universe immersive experience.

Kathleen Kennedy Introduces The New Droid D-0 From 'The Rise Of Skywalker' To 'Good Morning America'

Following the reveal of the new teaser for Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker at D23 Expo this weekend, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy was interviewed by Good Morning America. Though she was the only human subject of the interview, Kennedy wasn't alone.  She was joined by the droids BB-8 and D-0, who will make his debut on screen in The Rise Of Skywalker this December.

The Walt Disney Studios presentation is happening now, and the cast and crew of Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker took the stage to make some big reveals about the movie.

One of them was the first official poster from the film! It features Rey and Kylo Ren fighting in a mysterious location while the visage of Emperor Palpatine looms in the background. It's a stunning amazing piece of art. Check it out below:

New Details About Moff Gideon, Played By Giancarlo Esposito, And Other 'The Mandalorian' Characters

Now that the new trailer for the first season of The Mandalorian is available, we finally have some our first look at some of the new characters we'll be meeting in the series.  One of those is the character played by Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul star Giancarlo Esposito, who Entertainment Weekly revealed is named Moff Gideon.  Esposito discussed the character in a separate interview with Entertainment Tonight Canada at D23 Expo, sharing some details on what it's like to be an Imperial Moff in a post-Empire galaxy.  Check it out below,

Dave Filoni Addresses The Future Of 'The Clone Wars' And The Potential Of Live Action Ahsoka

Fans of Star Wars: The Clone Wars should savour the seventh season of the series, which hits Disney+ in February 2020.  Supervising director Dave Filoni was interviewed by IGN during D23 Expo this past weekend, and they asked about if there was potential for the series after the seventh season.  They also inquired about the potential for characters that were created for the series, specifically highlighting Ahsoka Tano, making the jump to live action in the future.

BREAKING: 'The Clone Wars' Season 7 To Premiere In February 2020 On Disney+

More MASSIVE news just out of D23! Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy took the stage at the Disney+ panel to announce the premiere date of the seventh season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars!

According to Kennedy, season seven will premiere on Disney+ in February of 2020, only a few months away! In addition, she also unveiled a new photo from the upcoming episodes showing Darth Maul (voiced by Sam Witwer) facing off against Ahsoka Tano (voiced by Ashley Eckstein).

BREAKING: Ewan McGregor To Reprise Obi-Wan Kenobi For New Disney+ Series (UPDATED)

It's happening! It's finally happening!

Just moments ago Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy took the stage at D23 alongside the man himself, Ewan McGregor, to announce a brand new series that's coming to Disney+.

While few details were given, it has been confirmed that Ewan McGregor will be reprising his iconic role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in an upcoming series. Thanks to our very own Dominic Jones' live-tweets from the Disney+ we now that the Kenobi series is indeed happening, all the scripts have been written, and that it will go into full production next year!

'The Rise Of Skywalker' To Be Previewed At D23 Expo

Disney announced this week that among the movies that will be previewed at this month's D23 Expo is Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker. The preview will take place on Saturday August 24th at 10am in Hall D23, alongside looks at other future Disney properties, including Frozen 2, Black Widow, and Jungle Cruise.  D23 Expo takes place at the Anaheim Convention Center from August 23rd to 25th.

'Vader Immortal: Episode II' To Be Previewed At D23

Lucasfilm and Disney announced today that the new virtual reality experience Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series will be getting a preview panel at D23 Expo later this month.  The official D23 Blog announced today that fans will be able to attend at Vader Immortal panel at the convention on Friday August 23rd at 2pm on Stage 28.  The panel will feature an exclusive preview of Episode II of the series (Episode I was released on the Oculus Quest back in May).

'The Mandalorian' To Be Previewed At D23 Expo

This Fall and Winter is going to be huge for Star Wars! In addition to the release of Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker and the video game Jedi: Fallen Order, Disney+ will also be launching, and with it, the first ever live-action Star Wars series. Star Wars: The Mandalorian, written and executive produced by Jon Favreau, is set to launch with Disney+, and we got a sneak peek at it during Star Wars Celebration Chicago. Now it appears we're going to learn even more about the series very soon.

D23 Expo 2019 Scheduled Unveiled

This August will see the return of D23 Expo, Disney's Biennial convention which will showcase the many things the company has in store for us in the near future.
