Watch The "Dedication Moment" For The 'Rise of the Resistance' Ride At Disney World

Anyone whose been to a Galaxy's Edge park, either in California or Florida, will tell you it's an incredible experience.  It really is.  However, it's clear that the fact the Rise of the Resistance ride wasn't ready to open when the parks did earlier this year left a bit of a whole in the park.  Luckily, the ride is set to open, at long last, tomorrow in Disney World in Florida (sadly, however, it still won't open until January 17th in California).

Disney World hosted a special "Dedication Moment" for the rise earlier this evening, along with several testimonials from various celebrities including Neil Patrick Harris, Megan Fox, and John Stamos, all of which you can see in the video below,

We were also introduced to Lieutenant Bek one of the main characters we'll be meeting in the ride.  We also learned that Bek is voiced by Star Wars voice acting legend James Arnold Taylor (Obi-Wan Kenobi on Star Wars: The Clone Wars).  Taylor posted about the character on his Instagram, where he praised the ride saying, "Can’t wait for everyone to experience this amazing ride! The Disney Imagineering group really has outdone themselves!"

The cast of The Rise of Skywalker also stopped by the ride at the Disneyland park in California (even though the ride doesn't open there until January).  Cast members Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Kelly Marie Tran, Naomi Ackie, Keri Russel, and Anthony Daniels, as well as JJ Abrams posed for a photo in the ride's car (likely during their stop at Galaxy's Edge for the live Q&A earlier this week).

Ridley, Boyega, and Isaac, all also appear (as their characters) in the ride.  You can see Ridley and Boyega filming some scenes for Rise of the Resistance in the video below,

Disney star and Star Wars fan Josh Gad also visited the Rise of the Resistance ride in Florida, posting some cool pictures on his Instagram, which you can see below,

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance opens tomorrow at Disney World in Orlando, Florida, and at Disneyland in Anaheim, California on January 17th, 2020.
