The D23 Expo, Disney's biennial convention, is coming up this weekend and already shows signs of revealing some exciting news, especially concerning that Star Wars saga. Today the newest episode of The Star Wars Show was posted to YouTube, and it included some intriguing teases about what we can expect from the event.
Hosts Andi Gutierrez and Anthony Carboni detailed several of the big events happening at D23 that will involve Star Wars. First off, they mentioned the Disney Legends ceremony that will be happening on Friday and will include the induction of Mark Hamill and the late Carrie Fisher. Additionally, The Star Wars Show confirms that a special "Star Wars Land" pavilion will be set up at the convention which will include new looks at the upcoming Star Wars themed additions to Walt Disney World and Disneyland. They also teased some potential big news and "special guests" related to Star Wars: The Last Jedi could be revealed at Disney's live action film panel which will take place at 10:00 am PT on Saturday.
Also on Saturday, the "Level Up" video game showcase will be featuring Star Wars Battlefront II and Iden Versio herself, Janina Gavankar, will be on stage to introduce a special behind the scenes presentation for the game. A new Battlefront II poster, featuring Iden's Inferno Squad helmet, will also be shown off at the event. You can catch a glimpse at it below:
Andi Gutierrez also added that she will be part of Oh my Disney's special D23 live stream event which will include interviews with Her Universe's Ashley Eckstein on Friday and the Lucasfilm Press’ Jennifer Heddle on Sunday.
