Clone Commandos Are Coming To 'Star Wars Battlefront II'

EA and DICE are planning to add some big things to Star Wars Battlefront II very soon, and one of them will surely get old school Star Wars gamers excited!

This week the team behind Battlefront II unveiled a brand new update on their 2019 roadmap, which details all of the new content that's slated to be added to the game over the next few months. Included in the plan will be new game modes, special events, and some yet-to-be-revealed content from The Rise Of Skywalker coming in December. In addition, starting next month, the game will include a new map based on the planet Felucia, and even better, the Clone Commandos will be making their debut in Star Wars Battlefront II.

New 'Battlefront II' Anakin Skywalker Teaser Released

In advance of the addition of Anakin Skywalker to Star Wars Battlefromt II on February 27th, EA and Lucasfilm have released a new 15 second teaser video.  In it we see Anakin facing off with Count Dooku (who was also recently added to the game) on Geonosis.  The cinematic trailer doesn't feature gameplay footage, though we do get a good look at the Anakin character model.  In addition, the trailer features new dialogue from Corey Burton (The Clone Wars) as Dooku.  Check it out below,

Count Dooku Arrives In 'Star Wars Battlefront II'

Since the game was released last year, Electronic Arts has been working hard to bring plenty of new elements to Star Wars Battlefront II! After their first Battlefront outing lacked Prequel era content, the developers have made efforts to make up for it with several new additions from the Prequel Trilogy and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. After adding the planet Geonosis, as well as hero characters Obi-Wan Kenobi and General Grievous, their newest addition is an exciting one.

James Arnold Taylor Talks Obi-Wan In 'Battlefront II' On 'The Star Wars Show'

In advance of the addition of Obi-Wan Kenobi to Star Wars Battlefromt II, EA and Lucasfilm have released a new trailer, titled "The Battle of Geonosis", for the game.  The trailer features gameplay footage, including a look at Obi-Wan in action and a confrontation with the recently added General Grievous.  In addition, the trailer features new dialogue from James Arnold Taylor (The Clone Wars) as Obi-Wan.  Check it out below,

EA Releases New Details About Obi-Wan Kenobi in 'Battlefront II'

Electronic Arts has been slowly rolling out the latest Clone Wars era content that's been added to Star Wars Battlefront II.  Earlier this month we saw the addition of General Grievous as a playable character, and today EA has released some new details about what fans can expect when Obi-Wan Kenobi is added to the game on November 28th (a week from today).  The character will be voiced by James Arnold Taylor, who previously voiced prequel era Obi-Wan on the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels.

EA Officially Unveils General Grievous In 'Star Wars Battlefront II'

Star Wars Battlefront II has been bringing the hype recently with the reveal of new content based on Star Wars: The Clone Wars, just in time for the hit animated series' tenth anniversary. In doing so, EA has now revealed the first few images and details for General Grievous, who will be a playable character in an upcoming update.

'The Clone Wars' Voice Actors to Reprise Their Roles in 'Battlefront II'

Back at EA Play this summer, Electronic Arts announced that more content from the clone wars era would be added to the game later in the year.  This included the planet Geonosis, as well as the characters Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Count Dooku, and General Grievous.  Now, as we approach the release of the new content, EA has announced that voice actors from the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars will reprise their roles in the video game.

New Clone Wars Content Coming To 'Battlefront II'

In addition to announcing the next major Star Wars video game release during today's EA Play presentation, Electronic Arts also announced some new content coming to Star Wars Battlefront II.  The new expansion will focus on the Clone Wars era and will feature the planet Geonosis.  In addition, it was announced that General Grievous, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Count Dooku, and Anakin Skywalker will be playable characters.  The new expansion will be released "in the coming months."

Star Wars Battlefront II The Han Solo Season Trailer

Now that Solo: A Star Wars Story is in theaters, Electronic Arts and Lucasfilm are finally rolling out some tie-in content for Star Wars Battlefront II.  A trailer for "The Han Solo Season" was released online today, giving fans a first look at content that was inspired by the film Solo.  In the trailer, Alden Ehrenreich and Donald Glover's versions of Han and Lando are debuted, as well as the new "Coaxium Mine" location and Lando's Millennium Falcon.  Check out the trailer below,

EA Announces Han Solo Season & Upcoming 'Solo' Content For 'Star Wars Battlefront II'

The effects of Solo: A Star Wars Story's upcoming release are going to be felt across multiple platforms in the Star Wars saga. Video: "Star Wars Battlefront II The Last Jedi Season"

Lucasfilm and Electronic Arts have released a new trailer for the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi tie-in content coming to Star Wars Battlefront II next week.  The trailer gives fans a look at the action on Crait, as well as our first look at Finn and Captain Phasma in the game.  In addition, the trailer concludes with a look at the upcoming new campaign mission which picks up where the first game left off and will see the continuation of Iden Versio's story.  The new content launches on December 13th.  Check out the trailer below,

'Star Wars Battlefront II' Story Review

When it was announced at Star Wars Celebration last April that the sequel to 2015’s disappointing Star Wars Battlefront would feature content from all eras of the Star Wars saga AND a story mode (both of which were lacking in the first game), the response from Star Wars fans was elation.  While the general opinion of the game has been eroded by controversy surrounding some less than popular decisions by developer EA (micro-transactions and whatnot), the game has still made quite the impression on the Star Wars community.

EA Temporarily Removes In-Game Purchases From 'Battlefront II' In Response To Controversy

This has been a big week for Electronic Arts and gamers alike, but it hasn't always been good. Just mere days prior to the official release of Star Wars Battlefront II, information surfaced about the game that caused a massive uproar in the community. Most of the anger from players was directed at Battlefront II's in-game purchase system which hindered their ability to use heroes and other elements in the game(you can read more about the initial controversy by clicking here.)

Janina Gavankar Talks 'Star Wars Battlefront II'

The highly anticipated (and controversial) video game Star Wars Battlefront II hits shelves on Friday, and to promote the release Entertainment Weekly has released a new interview with Janina Gavankar, who plays the lead character Iden Versio in the game.  In the interview Gavankar discusses getting the role, Iden's motives, and what it's like being in a part of the Star Wars galaxy.

EA Adjusts Requirements To Unlock Heroes In 'Battlefront II' Amidst Fan Backlash

Electronic Arts announced today that they will be making a small, but important change to Star Wars Battlefront II in response to a growing fan backlash.  The backlash started on Reddit on the r/StarWarsBattlefront subreddit when fans discovered that in order to unlock iconic characters like Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker they would have to invest large amounts of time playing the game or pay an additional fee, on top of the price of the game, to unlock the characters.

Electronic Arts and Lucasfilm have released a series of new preview videos for Star Wars Battlefront II, which hits shelves on November 17th.  The videos feature DICE Multiplayer producer Paul Kesslin going over what fans can expect in the Arcade, Galactic Assault, and Strike gameplay modes.  The videos explain what each mode is and offers some insight into how to succeed in each mode.  Check them out below,

'Star Wars Battlefront II' Content Coming To Other EA Games

Lucasfilm and Electronic Arts has announced that special tie-in in-game content to promote the release of Star Wars Battlefront II in several other EA games.  Fans playing Battlefield 1 will get access to a new melee weapon (a Totokia War club) in a Star Wars Battlefront II Celebration Battlepack.  For fans playing NHL 18, NBA LIVE 18, and FIFA 18, they can add Battlefront II themed uniforms to their teams.
