Next year will be a momentous year for Star Wars. Not only do we have Star Wars: Episode VIII and Star Wars Celebration in Orlando to look forward, among countless other things, 2017 will be the 40th anniversary of the saga. May 25th, 2017, to be exact, will mark 40 years since Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope(know then simply as "Star Wars") opened in theaters and changed the world forever. Lucasfilm has already begun preparing for the occasion by revealing the logo for 40th anniversary. Yesterday, during the closing ceremonies of Star Wars Celebration Europe, hosts David Collins, Amy Ratcliffe and Warwick Davis unveiled the logo to the audience. You can see a photo of it below:

The perfect to celebrate the 40th anniversary in 2017 is to attend Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, which takes place April 13th - 16th, and catch Star Wars: Episode VIII in theaters on December 15th!
