Report: Temuera Morrison Returns to 'Star Wars' in Season Two of 'The Mandalorian'

A fan favourite actor from the prequel trilogy is set to make his return to the galaxy far, far away in season two of The Mandalorian.  A new story from The Hollywood Reporter claims that Temuera Morrison, who played Jango Fett and the army of his clones in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, will make an appearance in the second season of The Mandalorian.  Morrison will reportedly be playing Boba Fett (Jango's son and clone) in the series, a part which is said to be, "just a small role."

New 'The Rise of Skywalker' Featurette Released

Lucasfilm has released a new behind-the-scenes featurette promoting next month's released of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.  The new video includes content from all three trilogies, along with new and archival interviews with the saga's directors and stars.  The featurette is very similar to the one that kicked of the Star Wars Episode IX panel at Star Wars Celebration Chicago back in April, only with more behind-the-scenes footage from The Rise of Skywalker.

New 'The Rise of Skywalker' TV Spot Set to "Duel of the Fates" Revealed

"This will be the final word in the story of Skywalker." 

Lucasfilm released a brand new TV spot for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker this morning that s bringing back warm feelings for fans of the prequel era.  The spot, appropriately titled "Duel", marks the first time that John Williams' iconic track "Duel of the Fates" has been used in any marketing for the sequel trilogy.  The spot also features several new shots from the film, including Rey looking at a burning ship and Babu Frik laughing.

Video: "The Evolution of the Stormtrooper"

At both San Diego Comic Con and the D23 Expo this summer, a big portion of the Lucasfilm presence was the "Evolution of the Stormtrooper" exhibit.  The exhibit featured costumes of several variations of the stormtrooper from the original trilogy all the way through The Rise of Skywalker with the Sith Trooper (at Comic-Con) and the First Order Jet Trooper (D23).  Today, Lucasfilm has released the video that went along with the costume display on the official Star Wars YouTube.

New "Special Look" For 'The Rise Of Skywalker' Explores The Cultural Impact of Star Wars

The impact Star Wars as a whole has made on the world is almost unfathomable. 42 after its introduction the space opera continues to make an impression on our lives and our culture. Next month the franchise will reach another milestone with the end of the Skywalker saga.

Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker is due for release in less than a month and Lucasfilm has just released a new "special look" at the film which also takes a look at the history of Star Wars and its effect on pop culture. The heartwarming video features a ton of different clips, from beloved Star Wars references in popular media, to interviews with cast members and other celebrities expressing their admiration of the saga.

JJ Abrams Reveals What He Talked About With George Lucas For 'The Rise Of Skywalker'

New 'Resistance Reborn' Excerpt Features Wedge Antilles

Lucasfilm has released a new preview from the upcoming novel, Star Wars: Resistance Reborn, which features the return of a fan favourite pilot from the original trilogy.  The excerpt, which was released online today, features Wedge Antilles, the pilot seen in all three original trilogy films.  The novel, which hits shelves on November 5th, is written by Rebecca Roanhorse, and takes place between the events of The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker.

Hasbro Unveils New Black Series and Vintage Collection Figures At Paris Comic Con

This past weekend was Paris Comic Con in Paris, France, and members of the Hasbro Star Wars team took the stage to reveal some new products hitting shelves next year.  The big highlights from the panel were the two new additions to the 6" Black Series, and one new 3.75" scale Vintage Collection.  The figures celebrate both the past and future of the Star Wars saga, representing the prequel trilogy and the upcoming live action Disney+ series The Mandalorian.

All The 'Star Wars' Content Available On Disney+ At Launch Confirmed

With the launch of Disney+ now under a month away, the promotional push is entering its final phase. Disney announced this week all the content from their backlog (or "vault" to use the company's parlance), as well as the original series, that will be available when the streaming service launches on November 12th.  This includes nine Star Wars films, the original series The Mandalorian, the 2004 documentary Empire of Dreams, and eight animated Star Wars series.  You can see the full list of Star Wars content available on Disney+ at launch below,

Hayden Christensen & Ian McDiarmid Visit Children At A Utah Hospital

In a Galaxy far, far away they play two of the biggest and baddest villains to ever grace the silver screen. But in this universe, Hayden Christensen and Ian McDiarmid are real life heroes.

McDiarmid and Christensen, who are best know for portraying Sheev Palpatine/Darth Sidious and Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, attended FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention in Utah this week. On Thursday while in the area the two actors paid a surprise visit to Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City. The Sith Lord duo took time to visit with patients and their families, signing autographs, taking photos, and help create unforgettable memories.

LEGO Unveils New Ultimate Collector Series Star Destroyer

Since acquiring the Star Wars licence in 1999, LEGO has been delivering some truly amazing toys to fans over the past two decades. And their most recent set could be one of the most impressive we've ever seen.

Today StarWars.com announced that LEGO will be adding an Imperial Star Destroyer to their Ultimate Collector Series line very soon. Fully built, this Star Destroyer is made up of 4,784 LEGO bricks and measures 43” in length, 26” wide, and 17” tall without its stand. The new set is specifically based on the Devastator, the very first Star Destroyer we ever saw at the beginning of Episode IV: A New Hope. You can even recreate that iconic opening scene with a buildable scale model of the Tantive IV which is included with the set. Also included are exclusive Imperial Officer and Imperial Crew Member minifigures, as well as realistic details like swiveling turrets and a movable radar dish.

The Lucas Museum Of Narrative Art Previewed At SDCC

There may not be a better place to kick off the promotion for the upcoming Lucas Museum of Narrative Art than San Diego Comic Con.  The annual convention, which is celebrating its fiftieth anniversary this year, has been, in many ways, celebrating narrative art in all its forms for five decades.  With this in mind, three of the curators working Star Wars creator George Lucas and his wife Melody Hobson, the co-founders of the museum, took the stage at SDCC today to give us our first glimpse into the collection that will be featured at the museum when it opens in Los Angeles in a couple of years.

That's because we are now just hours away from the international(or intergalactic) holiday know as "Star Wars Day", A.K.A May the 4th(be with you). Each year fans across the globe find new and interesting ways to celebrate the special day, despite it being completely unofficial. But now it seems in at least one place in this galaxy Star Wars Day will finally be fully recognized as an official holiday!

Peter Mayhew | 1944 - 2019

Today we are incredibly saddened to report the passing of the legendary Peter Mayhew at the age of 74.

Peter was best known to Star Wars fans the world over as the man underneath the mask of the mighty Chewbacca. He wore the fur of the iconic Wookiee many times over the course of almost 40 years. Peter Mayhew's family confirmed via social media that the actor passed away on April 30th. You can read their official statement below:

Peter has been with Star Wars saga since the very beginning, portraying Chewbacca 1977's Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope alongside Harrison Ford(Han Solo) Mark Hamill(Luke Skywalker), and Carrie Fisher(Princess Leia), among others. Mayhew would return to the role in the sequels The Empire Strikes Back, Return Of The Jedi, and the third prequel Revenge Of The Sith.

Episodes I-VII, 'Rogue One', and 'The Mandalorian' Will Be Available On Disney+ At Launch

While all eyes have been on Star Wars Celebration for big announcements about the future of the galaxy far, far away, Disney (somewhat) quietly had some announcements about how the saga will be represented on Disney+, the upcoming streaming service launching on November 12th.  At a Disney+ event on April 11th, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy took the stage to reveal what Star Wars films and TV series will be available on the service at launch.

Peter Serafinowicz Reveals He Originally Recorded Maul's Lines For 'Solo: A Star Wars Story'

Perhaps the biggest surprise at the end of last year's Solo: A Star Wars Story was the return of Darth Maul to the big screen at the end.  The scene featured Ray Park reprising his role as the physical presence of Maul from The Phantom Menace, along with the voice of Sam Witwer who voiced Maul on the animated series' Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels (where Maul's resurrection and ultimate fate were first revealed).  However, Witwer voicing the character wasn't always the plan for the film.

Hayden Christensen To Attend Star Wars Celebration Chicago

Lucasfilm announced today that Star Wars prequels star Hayden Christensen will be attending this years Star Wars Celebration Chicago convention.  Christensen, who played Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, will be on hand next month to meet with fans and sign autographs.  Christensen previously appeared at 2017's Star Wars Celebration Orlando, where he was met with uproarious applause and a standing ovation during his appearance at the 40th anniversary of Star Wars panel.
