Star Wars movie marathons have been a long standing tradition among fans for many years. And as the franchise has grown, the idea of watching every single Star Wars film in one sitting becomes more and more daunting. With Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker being lauded as the end of the Skywalker saga, it seems fitting now more than ever to revisit the previous films. Thankfully AMC Theatres is providing us a way view the entire Skywalker saga, including The Rise Of Skywalker, all at once within the comfort of their cinemas.

AMC announced today that their theaters will be hosting a special Star Wars film marathon that will last 27 hours and 21 minutes. That's right, you can literally spend all day(and all night) in a theater watching Star Wars. The marathon will begin on Wednesday, December 18th and conclude with the premiere of The Rise Of Skywalker at 5:00 PM local time on Thursday, December 19th. AMC also notes that marathon attendees will get to see Episode IX an hour earlier than those in normal screenings, and they will also be treated to a commemorative pin, blanket, concession offer.

This marathon is sure to make the amazing experience of watching The Rise Of Skywalker for the first time that much more unforgettable! Tickets for this and other showings of Episode IX should be available(along with a new trailer) any day now, so be on the lookout for that. Or just keep it here at the SWU for up-to-the-minute updates on all things Star Wars!
