EA and DICE are planning to add some big things to Star Wars Battlefront II very soon, and one of them will surely get old school Star Wars gamers excited!
This week the team behind Battlefront II unveiled a brand new update on their 2019 roadmap, which details all of the new content that's slated to be added to the game over the next few months. Included in the plan will be new game modes, special events, and some yet-to-be-revealed content from The Rise Of Skywalker coming in December. In addition, starting next month, the game will include a new map based on the planet Felucia, and even better, the Clone Commandos will be making their debut in Star Wars Battlefront II.
Clone Commandos first appeared in the 2005 video Republic Commando. They would eventually make their way into Star Wars canon when the fan favorite troopers made appearances in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. This will be their first appearance in a video game in over 14 years
EA announced the news with a short teaser video that revealed a glimpse at what a Clone Commando will look like in Battlefront II. You can watch it here:
DICE's own Ben Walke shared more details on Twitter, as well as footage of the Clone Commando in action:
Instant Action is back! In this mode, both teams are fighting over 5 Command Posts (similar to Capital Supremacy). Hold a majority of them until your team score reaches 100% to win the game.— Ben Walke (@BenWalke) August 20, 2019
