'Galaxy's Edge' Expansion Pack 'Journey to Batuu' Coming To 'The Sims 4'

With Gamescom happening this week we had expected some big reveals from the video games Star Wars: Squadrons and Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker, but we were also treated to something we didn't expect. The announcement of a new expansion pack for The Sims 4 entitled Star Wars: Journey to Batuu was a surprise to be sure, but a welcomed one. Today, Lucasfilm, partnering with EA and Maxis, announced that Sims 4 players will have the opportunity to travel to Batuu's Black Spire Outpost. Gameplay Trailer Revealed For 'Star Wars: Squadrons'

Earlier tonight at EA Play Live the second trailer for Star Wars: Squadrons was revealed, this time revealing over five minutes of gameplay footage and more!

In this new gameplay trailer we get some stunning new looks at the game, its characters, ships, locations, game mechanics, playing modes, the amazing customizations, and much more. We also get some more major cameos, including a speaking role for General Hera Syndulla and perhaps even an appearance by Grand Admiral Rae Sloane.

New Scene From 'The Rise of Skywalker' To Debut In "Fortnite" Next Weekend

So far we've seen several trailers, countless TV spots, a couple of featurettes and one actual clip from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, which hits theaters in two weeks.  And all of them have been released in relatively traditional ways (on TV, online, etc.), but Lucasfilm is trying something new as a way to release a new clip from the film.  It was announced today that a scene from The Rise of Skywalker would debut in the video game Fortnite, on December 14th at 2pm ET.

Video: Jedi: Fallen Order – “Become a Jedi” Trailer

'Vader Immortal: Episode III' To Be Released On November 21st

As if there wasn't enough new Star Wars content coming out in November 2019, what with the premiere of The Mandalorian on Disney+ and the release of the video game Jedi: Fallen Order, we can now add another piece of content to that list.  Lucasfilm announced today that the third and final episode of Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series will be released on the Oculous Store on November 21st, 2019 (nine days after the premiere of the first episode of The Mandalorian and six days after the release of Jedi: Fallen Order).  A new poster for Vader Immortal: Episode III was also released, which you can see below,

'Jedi: Fallen Order' Launch Trailer Revealed

Video Review: 'Secrets Of The Empire'

This past weekend, while in New York for Comic Con, my friends Chris "Starrapter" Abbot, Teddy, and I went over to the Oculus near the World Trader Center to try out the Star Wars: Secrets Of The Empire virtual reality (VR) experience.  The experience was a was a collaboration between the ILMxLAB and The VOID, and can be played at The VOID locations across North America (full list here).  In the experience, you are a Rebel soldier on a secret mission to the planet Mustafar between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope.

NYCC 2019: 'Vader Immortal' Panel Recap

New York Comic Con kicked off today in the big apple, and ILMxLAB helped get things going with a panel previewing Episodes 2 & 3 or Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series.  The panel was moderated by Indie Wire's Christian Blauvelt, and featured Vader Immortal director Ben Snow and Lucasfilm Story Group member Matt Martin.  Over the course of the hour long discussion, Snow and Martin gave fans an overview of what Vader Immortal is all about, the challenges faced when creating immersive virtual reality (VR) experiences, and teased what's to come in the third and final chapter.

'Vader Immortal - Episode II' Officially Launches With New Trailer

Fans of Star Wars and Virtual Reality were treated to a big surprise earlier today as ILMxLAB not only revealed a new Vader Immortal trailer, but announced that Episode II of the VR series is available to play right now!

The news was announced at the Oculus Connect 6 event where that amazing trailer was revealed. This new episode will take you deeper into, and below Darth Vader's castle on Mustafar as you further explore your abilities with the Force. Lucasfilm Announces Live Stream To Debut "Triple Force Friday" Merchandise, And New 'Jedi: Fallen Order' Trailer

With Triple Force Friday coming up on October 4th, Lucasfilm has announced that they will be hosting a live stream event to unveil the merchandise that will go on sale that day.  The live stream will take place on Thursday, September 26, at 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET, and will feature appearances by cast members from the The Rise Of Skywalker, The Mandalorian, and Jedi: Fallen Order (the three projects for which the merchandise will be available for the first time on October 4th).  The stream will also feature the debut of a new trailer for Jedi: Fallen Order, the video game being released on November 15th from Electronic Arts and Respawn.

Clone Commandos Are Coming To 'Star Wars Battlefront II'

EA and DICE are planning to add some big things to Star Wars Battlefront II very soon, and one of them will surely get old school Star Wars gamers excited!

This week the team behind Battlefront II unveiled a brand new update on their 2019 roadmap, which details all of the new content that's slated to be added to the game over the next few months. Included in the plan will be new game modes, special events, and some yet-to-be-revealed content from The Rise Of Skywalker coming in December. In addition, starting next month, the game will include a new map based on the planet Felucia, and even better, the Clone Commandos will be making their debut in Star Wars Battlefront II.

'Vader Immortal: Episode II' To Be Previewed At D23

Lucasfilm and Disney announced today that the new virtual reality experience Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series will be getting a preview panel at D23 Expo later this month.  The official D23 Blog announced today that fans will be able to attend at Vader Immortal panel at the convention on Friday August 23rd at 2pm on Stage 28.  The panel will feature an exclusive preview of Episode II of the series (Episode I was released on the Oculus Quest back in May).
