Star Wars will soon be seeing some massive changes on the comic book front as Marvel has just announced that its biggest series set in a Galaxy far, far away is drawing to a close.
Earlier today Marvel revealed their monthly comic solicitations, which included a rundown of all the Star Wars comics coming to shelves in the next few months. Included were details on issue #75 of Marvel's flagship "Star Wars" series where it was mentioned that this would be the final issue of the series:

Later i09 contacted Marvel and confirmed that the Star Wars series will indeed end with issue #75 in November. The series will have have lasted almost five years after initially launching in January of 2015 with a first issue that sold over one million copies. The comic has largely followed the adventures of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca and others after the events of A New Hope. Issue #75 will also end the current "Rebels and Rogues" story arc which is set just prior to The Empire Strikes Back. i09 adds that more info about the definitive ending to this series will be revealed next month.
The standard cover art for the final issue by Phil Noto, as well as a The Last Jedi-themed variant cover by Chris Sprouse, can be viewed below:
Of course, with the end of their main "Star Wars" series imminent, it begs the question; What's next for Marvel's Star Wars comics? There's reason to believe a brand new ongoing series may take it's place, one, perhaps, in a completely new era.
Which era of Star Wars would you like to see explored in Star Wars comics? The time after Episode V? The Prequel era? Or even the Sequel era? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
