Lucasfilm has released a new video on USA Today's website introducing fans to some of the new characters we'll be going on adventures with on the animated series Star Wars Resistance, which debuts this Fall on Disney XD. The video presents a group of pilots known collectively as "The Aces", who are the top pilots on The Colossus. They were hired to defend The Colossus, but in their down time they stage ship races among themselves. "The Aces" are made up of Torra Doza (Myrna Velasco), Hype Fazon (Donald Faison), Griff Halloran (Stephen Stanton), Freya Fenris (Mary Elizabeth McGlynn), and Bo Keevil (whose voice actor was not revealed). Check out the video for yourself below,
This group of characters seems like the will be a lot of fun to follow over the course of the series. It's also cool to see a couple of veterans of previous Star Wars animated projects with recurring roles on the series. Stephen Stanton has previously lent his voice to several characters on Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and Star Wars Rebels, as well as voicing Admiral Raddus in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Mary Elizabeth McGlynn was the voice of Imperial Governor Pryce on Rebels. And, Donald Faison had a starring role on the never-actually-released Star Wars Detours show that George Lucas produced with Robot Chicken creators Seth Green and Matt Senreich, and has been on hold ever since the sale of Lucasfilm to Disney in 2012.
We'll finally get to see The Aces in action, alongside Team Fireball, when Star Wars Resistance premieres on October 7th at 10pm on the Disney Channel. If you haven't already (or just want to watch it again), you can check out the trailer for the series below,
