'The Last Jedi' Cast Talk Show Appearances Begin Next Week

A big part of promoting any movie is the talk show appearances by the cast, and Star Wars is no different.  Starting next week and leading up until the release of the film on December 15th it will be hard to miss seeing the cast of Star Wars: The Last Jedi showing up on various talk shows.  So expect lots of fun behind the scenes stories, vague hints about the plot, and fond memories of the late Carrie Fisher to dominate the discussions.  Hopefully we'll get a clip or two thrown in there too!

The promotion really kicks off on Tuesday when Daisy Ridley will appear on both Live with Kelly Rippa and Ryan Secrest and The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.  Mark Hamill will also make an appearance on Ellen (a favourite of Fisher's) on Tuesday to promote the film and, presumably share some memories about his "space sis" (as he called her).  Then on Wednesday, John Boyega will follow in Ridley's footsteps and appear on both Live and The Tonight Show.

All of this culminates on Friday with the entire cast, along with director Rian Johnson, appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live.  The guests will be Johnson, Hamill, Ridley, Boyega, Andy Serkis, Oscar Isaac, Laura Dern, Adam Driver, Gwendoline Christie, Kelly Marie Tran and Domhnall Gleeson.  This is the third year in a row that Kimmel has hosted a large amount of the cast of the year's Star Wars movie.  You can check out highlights from past shows with the cast of Rogue One here, and the cast of The Force Awakens here.

After the Kimmel appearance, we can expect to see Gwendoline Christie on Live on Wednesday December 6th.  Then on December 14th, Boyega, Ridley, and Hamill will appear on The Graham Norton show in the UK (the day the film hits theaters there).

There will almost certainly be more appearances by cast members in the coming weeks, but this is all there is for now.  I expect it to become impossible to avoid seeing the cast and director out promoting the film over the next month or so (not that I'm complaining).
