One of the most anticipated aspects of the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront II video game is the campaign, which will tell the story of an elite group of special forces of stormtroopers known as Inferno Squad in the years between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. Today, the approximate length of the campaign was revealed by David Robillard, producer at Motive Studios, who told Press-Start,
"We thought that around
5-7, maybe 8 hours is probably a good amount of time…we wanted to stay
very driven towards the Star Wars fantasy that the players are going to
experience and not have it be drawn out."
He also said that player's reaction will determine if there is any single player post-release free DLC.
Last week a new trailer for Battlefront II's story was released online, check that out (again?) below,
You can read about the backstory of Inferno Squad in the aptly titled novel Star Wars Battlefront II: Inferno Squad by Christie Golden
that was released earlier this year. The novel saw Inferno Squad
tracking down surviving members of Saw Gerrera's Partisans following the
events of Rogue One and A New Hope.
Star Wars Battlefront II will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 17th.
