Earlier this week Lucasfilm announced that the animated micro series Star Wars: Forces of Destiny would be debuting on the Disney YouTube channel on July 3rd, with new episodes being released daily leading up to the episodes airing on Disney Channel as interstitials on July 9th.  To celebrate the upcoming release of the series, which will span multiple eras with each episode featuring a different female character from the saga, Ashley Eckstein, the voice of Ahsoka Tano, appeared on The Star Wars Show.  Eckstein chatted with host Andi Gutierrez about returning to Ahsoka in the clone wars era (where the character began), the evolution of female characters in Star Wars, and more.  Check it out below,

Forces of Destiny features many stars of previous Star Wars films and TV shows reprising their roles, including Daisy Ridley as Rey, Felicity Jones as Jyn Erso, Lupita Nyong'o as Maz Kanata, Ashley Eckstein as Ahsoka Tano, Tiya Sircar as Sabine Wren, Vanessa Marshall as Hera, and Matt Lanter as Anakin Skywalker.  You can check out the trailer for the series below,
