A new video from the British Film Institute has revealed a couple of quick behind the scenes shots from Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi. The video focuses on Lucasfilm's initiatives to hire BFI trainees from diverse backgrounds to work on Star Wars projects. The video features several of the trainees from the upcoming untitled Han Solo A Star Wars Story film talking about their experience on the job (including one trainee's experience working alongside acclaimed cinematographer Bradford Young). Towards the end of the video we see a couple of quick behind the scenes looks at shots from The Last Jedi trailer, specifically Rey running on Ahch-To and Phasma with First Order stormtroopers marching through the flames. It's cool to see Lucasfilm embracing young, diverse talent as they move forward with new Star Wars films!
Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi hits theaters on December
15th. The film is written and directed by Rian Johnson and stars Daisy
Ridley, Mark Hamill, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Carrie Fisher, Kelly
Marie Tran, Laura Dern, Benicio Del Toro, and Lupita Nyong'o.
