There's still many months until the release of the next Star Wars film, The Force Awakens. Thankfully the awesome folks at Lucasfilm are working to tide us over until December 18th with a ton of new books and comics that were just recently announced. Now StarWars.com has given us our first look, and a title, for one of the upcoming Comic series from Marvel that will lead us into the Sequel Trilogy!
"Shattered Empire #1" will be the first installment of the Journey To The Force Awakens publishing program. Below you can check out the cover which features a fitting homage to the final scene of Return Of The Jedi, and also confirms that the comic will be released in September of this year!
This comic, alongside a collection of other novels, comics and young readers books promise to give us tons of hints at what we will see on the big screen later this year. Read more about the Journey To The Force Awakens program here! And get ready for what will no doubt be an extremly exciting lead up to Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens!
