'The Mandalorian' Tie-In Books Revealed, Including 'Art Of' And An Original Novel

'From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back' Announced (Updated!)

Back in 2017, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, Lucasfilm released From a Certain Point Of View, an anthology book featuring 40 stories by 40 authors all focused on different background characters from the 1977 film. The book was a massive success, and since then many fans have been clamoring for a sequel based around another film.

Lucasfilm Reveals The First Stories In New "The High Republic" Publishing Campaign

After months of anticipation, Lucasfilm has finally revealed the details about the new publishing campaign, The High Republic, during a presentation in Los Angeles tonight.  Lucasfilm representatives explained that what they had been calling "Project Luminous", is a new series of books and comics that are set in two hundred years before the events of the nine film Skywalker Saga in an era known as "the High Republic". The stories will be told across multiple publishers and target age ranges.

New Preview Excerpt From "Resistance Reborn" Released

For the first time in the sequel trilogy era we're seeing meaningful content set between the films being released before one of the films hits theaters.  The lack of time jump between The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi made this difficult, however with at least year between The Last Jedi and The Rise Of Skywalker there's an opportunity to see some very intriguing stories with the main characters from the films.  Which is  exactly what the new novel Star Wars: Resistance Reborn by Rebecca Roanhorse aims to do--and, based on the first preview excerpt released on StarWars.com, it's succeeding.

Even before you get to play the newest video game from EA you'll have a chance to buy an assortment of merchandise related to the game starting on October 4th. Here Is All 'The Rise Of Skywalker' Merchandise That Will Be Available On Triple Force Friday!

Triple Force Friday is fast approaching, and today Lucasfilm hosted a special live stream event which revealed all of the brand new merchandise that will be coming to store shelves next week.

Included were products from the upcoming film Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker, the highly anticipated Disney+ series The Mandalorian, as well as the new video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The Official "Galaxy's Edge" Cookbook To Be Released November 5th

Maybe you've been to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and are hungry to bring part of the experience home. Or maybe you haven't been yet and are looking for a taste of life in Black Spire.  Either way, you might be interested in checking out the upcoming official Galaxy's Edge cookbook, being released by Disney and Insight Editions on November 5th.  The book, which is titled Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge — The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook, will feature recipes for dishes that are inspired by the food available at the park (which, like the park itself, is presented as "in-universe" food from the Star Wars galaxy).

Recap Of The Lucasfilm Publishing Panel At #SDCC

We've had a busy day of Star Wars panels at San Diego Comic-Con today, and it's not over yet! The Lucasfilm Publishing panel was just held moments ago at the convention and we were treated to some intriguing insight and exciting reveals. Our very own Dominic Jones was there to report back on all that was talked about.

The panelists included E.K. Johnston, Charles Soule, Timothy Zahn, Katie Cook, Zoraida Cordova, Kevin Schinik, Lou Anders, Delilah Dawson, George Mann, Cavam Scott, Rebecca Roahorse, and Michael Siglain. The creators shared their experiences writing and enjoying Star Wars, and we even got a big reveal at the end.

'The Art of Star Wars Rebels' Book Announced

It's been close to year since Star Wars Rebels left our screens for good, concluding a four season run on Disney XD.  But just because the series is over, doesn't mean that fans--or Lucasfilm--is done with the series.  A new book, titled The Art of Star Wars Rebels, from Lucasfilm publishing and Dark Horse Books was announced today.  The book will highlight some of the concept art that was created for the series.  The book is written by Daniel Wallace and will feature commentary from Rebels executive producers Dave Filoni, Simon Kinberg, and Carrie Beck.

Catherine Taber Will Narrate The Audiobook For "Queen's Shadow"

2019 is a year full of amazing new Star Wars content, and that includes a plethora of new Star Wars books. One of the most highly anticipated novels to be released this year is Star Wars: Queen's Shadow, the first ever novel to focus on Padmé Amidala. The book will examine Padmé's life after her tenure as queen of Naboo and before she takes on the role of senator, between the events of The Phantom Menace and Attack Of The Clones. As always, the book will be released in print as well as audiobook form, and some recent news will certainly entice many fans to listen to Queen's Shadow in addition to just reading it.

'Star Wars: Women of the Galaxy' Book Announced!

Lucasfilm announced a new book celebrating the female characters of the Star Wars galaxy today!  The book, which is titled Star Wars: Women of the Galaxy, is written by Amy Ratcliffe and features art from eighteen female and non-binary artists.  Women of the Galaxy will highlight seventy-five female characters from across franchise, including film characters like Rey, Padme, Rose, Leia, and Jyn, to the animated projects with characters like Ahsoka Tano and Bo-Katan, and characters introduced in publishing like Rae Sloane and Vi Moradi.

New Book Series, "Flight of the Falcon", Announced

Lucasfilm announced today that a new book series about the Millennium Falcon called "Flight of the Falcon."  The series, which is aimed at middle grade readers (ages 8-12), will be set across multiple eras, including before Solo: A Star Wars Story, during the original trilogy, and the sequel era.  It will also tie-in with the Galaxy's Edge theme parks opening at the US Disney Parks next year.  The first book, Lando's Luck, debuts in October and will be written by Justina Ireland with illustrations by Annie Wu.

New 'Last Shot' Preview Excerpt Features Sana Starros

Lucasfilm has released a new preview excerpt from the upcoming novel Star Wars: Last Shot by Daniel Jose Older.  The preview features Han Solo alongside Sana Starros, a character who first rose to prominence in the Marvel Star Wars comic book series.  Last Shot, which will be released on April 17th and marks Sana's first appearance outside the comic book medium.  You can read part of the preview below,

'Star Wars: Last Shot' Preview Synopsis Released

Last Friday, Lucasfilm unveiled the tie-in books that will be released to coincide with the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story in theaters.  Among the books announced was the novel Star Wars: Last Shot by Daniel Jose Older, which will star Han and Lando and will be set across multiple time periods, including before Solo and after Return of the Jedi.  Following the announcement, the Penguin Random House listing for the book was updated with a full preview synopsis, giving us more insight into the story of the book.  Check it out below,
