It seems yet another Star Trek talent could be making the jump to a Galaxy far, far away. Brent Spiner, who's best know for his performance as Commander Data in Star Trek: The Next Generation, is said to be working on the upcoming animated series Star Wars Rebels. Word of this came from Carmelle Marshall who attended the Young Justice panel at the Gallifrey 1 Convention in Los Angeles, California. Spiner voiced the Joker on Young Justice and appeared at the panel alongside series co-creator Greg Weisman, who is now one of the Executive Producers for Rebels. During the panel, Marshall tweeted this:
Entire #YoungJustice panel is jealous that @Greg_Weisman & @BrentSpiner are currently working on #StarWarsRebels. #gally1

Since his tenure as Data on Star Trek, Brent has had an extensive career as a voice actor. He would be an excellent addition to the Star Wars Rebels cast. The big question is; who could he be playing? We currently know of two characters that do not have actors attached to them yet. Those are the show's main antagonist, The Inquisitor, and Agent Kallus, who was recently revealed at New York Toy Fair and whom we know nothing about. Lucasfilm has been rapidly revealing new characters as of late along with their voice actors, so an official announcement could come at any time. If this rumor proves true, Spiner will star alongside Freddie Prinze Jr., Taylor Gray and Steve Blum who voice Kanan Jarrus, Ezra Bridger and Zeb Orrelios, respectively. The Inquisitor(left) and Agent Kallus(right) in their action figure forms |
