Rumors and speculation have been swirling lately about Star Wars 'spin-off" films that focus on specific characters from the Galaxy far, far away. Yesterday, Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed that two of these films are indeed on the way. Today, Entertainment Weekly is claiming that "sources close to the projects" have informed them that the films will focus on Boba Fett and a young Han Solo. The Han Solo film is to be set in between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, focusing on a Han as a young adult, or even a Child, which would obviously require a new actor. The Boba Fett film is said to be set between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back. Temuera Morrison, Daniel Logan or even the original Fett, Jeremy Bulloch, could return to the role. Could this be the Boba Fett film Joe Johnston has been so passionate about in past years? Time will tell. EW also elaborates that characters such as Darth Vader and Jabba the Hutt could make appearances in them.
As always, "Inside sources" have to be taken with a grain of salt. We will keep you informed on future developments In the meantime; which Star Wars character would you like to see star in his or her own movie? Let us know in the comments below!
