The break out star of The Mandalorian, the new Star Wars live action series currently being released on Disney+, is undoubtedly the character known to fans as Baby Yoda. The character's involvement in the series was kept so secret that very little merchandise of the character has been made available. This week some more new Baby Yoda merchandise were revealed by Funko and Shop Disney, though (unlike the first merch unveiled) it will not be available in time for the holidays.
Funko revealed one of their Pop! figures of the character, with his hand raised like he's about to use the Force. A regular sized Pop! will be available, as well as a 10" one (which Funko points out is nearly life sized). The product is expected to ship in the spring. Check out an image of the Funko Pop! below,
Shop Disney also released images of an 11" doll of the character, which you can see below. The doll will be available for $25, and can be pre-ordered now (though it won't ship until April 2020).
The Mandalorian is set following the events of Return of the Jedi and follows the adventures of a "lone gunfighter", as he navigates the galaxy in the post-Empire/early days of the New Republic. The first four episodes of the series are available now on Disney+, with episode five being released on Friday. You can check out the trailer for the series below,
The series is available now on Disney+, and stars Pedro Pascal as The Mandalorian, Gina Carrano as Cara Dune, Carl Weathers as Greef Carga, Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon, Nick Nolte as Kuiil, Werner Herzog as "The Client", Emily Swallow as "The Armorer", and Omid Abtahi as Dr. Pershing. The Mandalorian is executive produced by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, with episodes directed by Filoni, Bryce Dallas Howard, Deborah Chow, and Rick Famuyiwa, and Taika Waititi.
