Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise Of Skywalker arrives in theaters next month! We have a lot of amazing promotional material to look forward to, and it will be coming from all corners of the globe. Today we were treated to some exciting new international poster artwork that's already building more hype.
Earlier today the
official German Star Wars Facebook page shared a brand new poster for
The Rise Of Skywalker. The artwork is very different from the
theatrical poster that was revealed last month. The poster features a vast array of elements, including almost every character we're expecting to see in the film. Rey, Finn, Poe, Kylo, Lando, Jannah and Chewbacca are featured prominently among many others. You can check it out for yourself below:
One of the most notable inclusions on the poster is also the tiniest. Our friends at the
Tatooine Sons Podcast immediately noticed the presence of a Porg on the poster on the bottom left of the artwork. Surprisingly, this is our first confirmation that the adorable birds that were introduced in
The Last Jedi will also be making an appearance in
The Rise Of Skywalker.
And that's not all! Reddit user
Godxon managed to grab a Chinese promotional banner for The Rise Of Skywalker. It shows Rey and Kylo Ren(helmet on this time) facing off in a very wet environment with a TIE Fighter looming in the background. It's actually hard to decipher where they are exactly, but if I had to guess; It looks as though they are fighting in front of a waterfall. Nevertheless, it's a stunning piece of art!
Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters on December 20th, 2019. The film is directed by JJ Abrams, with a script by Abrams and Chris Terio, and stars Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Kelly Marie Tran, Mark Hamill, Billy Dee Williams, Keri Russell, Richard E. Grant, Naomi Ackie, Lupita Nyong'o, Domhnall Gleeson, Joonas Suotamo, and Carrie Fisher.
