Over the past few days we've gotten a lot of video game news courtesy of E3, and some specifically exciting reveals from the upcoming game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. We were treated to 14 minutes of gameplay, as well as a brand new trailer for the game. In addition, StarWars.com has now announced that Marvel will be producing a Prequel comic miniseries that will tie in with the game.

The first issue of the five-issue series, titled Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order – Dark Temple, is slated for release in September and will have major connections with the video game. The story will focus on Cere Junda, Cal Kestis' Jedi mentor in the game, during her time as a Padawan before the fall of the Jedi Order. The comic will also introduce Cere's mentor, Jedi Master Eno Cordova. Lucasfilm revealed a brief synopsis for Dark Temple along with the cover art for the first issue, which you can check out below:

"The tale follows Jedi Master Eno Cordova and his impulsive Padawan Cere Junda — on a seemingly simple mission that becomes much more dangerous. The Jedi Council sends the pair to the remote planet Ontotho to oversee the excavation of a mysterious temple; on Ontotho, dueling forces of local resistance and ruthless security troops clash in a war for the fate of the planet, with the Jedi caught in the middle."

The series is written Written by Matthew Rosenberg (Uncanny X-Men, The Punisher) with illustrations by Paolo Villanelli (Vader: Dark Visions). StarWars.com included a brief interview with the trio which you can check out here.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order – Dark Temple #1 will be on sale on September wherever comic books are sold. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on November 15th.
