While Star Wars fans are currently eagerly awaiting the release of The Mandalorian later this year, it's worth remember that there are more Star Wars series coming to Disney+ in the near future. One new confirmed series is a prequel to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story focusing on Cassian Andor. Diego Luna will be reprising the role of the rebel intelligence officer alongside Alan Tudyk's K-2SO.
In a recent interview with El Sigle de Torreon(brought to our attention by @sleemo_) Diego Luna spoke briefly about the upcoming Cassian series. The article seems to confirm that the actor has received his script, and that work on the series is already underway. Luna himself jokingly talks about how he is preparing for the role:
"The problem is that I have to look younger, it's a prequel! With a lot of exercise, organic lettuce (laughs), keep me as young and healthy as I can."
It's been previously reported that the Cassian Andor series would be going into production in October of this year, which seemingly match this interview. While we still have no official release date for this series, hopefully we will learn more soon about this exciting project!
