This year is a big year for Star Wars. Not only will it see the release of several exciting new projects, such as Episode IX, The Mandalorian, and The Clone Wars season seven, but its also the 20th anniversary of two major Star Wars events that took place in 1999. One of those is the release of The Phantom Menace, and the other is twenty years of Lego Star Wars sets. To celebrate the latter, Lego has revealed they will be re-releasing five classic sets, each with a special twentieth anniversary minifigure.
The five sets are: Clone Scout Walker with special Darth Vader minifigure, Snowspeeder with special Lando Calrissian minifigure, Anakin’s Podracer with special pilot Luke Skywalker minifigure, Slave I with special Princess Leia minifigure, and Imperial Dropship with special Han Solo minifigure. The special minifigures are all made to look like the figures that were released in 1999 and come with a 20th anniversary display shelf. These 20th anniversary sets will be available later in the year.
