We are now just a little over 50 days away from the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story. Director Ron Howard has been especially active on social media this week, earlier sharing video from a Solo scoring session, and now confirming that production on the film is nearing completion and sharing some intriguing behind the scenes photos.
First off, Howard shared photos on both Twitter and Instagram from Skywalker Ranch where the sound mixing for Solo was taking place. One of the photos shows an actual shot from the film on the screen, showing Alden Ehrenreich's Han Solo in some sort of pilot's seat:
#Solo #SkywalkerRanch we are well into final sound mix. A little ahead of schedule and feelin’ good. Getting eager to share. pic.twitter.com/MqK8fBeia1— Ron Howard (@RealRonHoward) March 30, 2018
Furthermore on Twitter, Ron Howard took some time to answer some fan questions, confirming that editing and scoring for Solo are complete, and that a new trailer is inevitable:
#May25. Edit is locked Score done. Right on schedule Hope you check #Solo out and find it fun. https://t.co/7eqpvoQhnN— Ron Howard (@RealRonHoward) March 31, 2018

And finally, Howard shared another photo from Skywalker Ranch, this time from a visual effects review of Solo he's conducting with Industrial Light and Magic. The photo gives us another glimpse at a screencap from the film, which includes several TIE Fighters in space, one of which appears to have just been destroyed:

UPDATE: Ron Howard also just shared another photo showing himself watching a monitor that features the classic title card that begins every Star Wars film, A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.... Howard's caption reads, "Working on opening graphics up at #skywalkerranch Gotta admit, pinching myself a few times a day as we put on the finishing touches up here":
