'The Star Wars Show' Offers Clear Look At The Millennium Falcon In 'Solo: A Star Wars Story'

The first two teaser trailers for Solo: A Star Wars Story have taken the Internet by storm this week, having offered us our first very first glimpses at the upcoming film. One of the more intriguing aspects of Solo is the Millennium Falcon and just how different the ship looks in the film.

Some earlier leaks had tipped us off about some changes to the Falcon, and the trailers confirmed them with some quick clips, but nothing too clear. Thankfully, on today's episode of The Star Wars Show, hosts Andi Gutierrez and Anthony Carboni offered up an unobstructed, 360 degree view of this "new" Millennium Falcon.

An additional compartment has been added to the front of the Falcon, covering the classic forward mandibles to give the ship a sleeker look. In the video, Andi and Anthony explain that this version of the Falcon was heavily inspired by early Ralph McQuarrie concept art for the ship. Specifically, the upward facing radar dish and single canon blaster turret are taken straight from the original artwork, seen below.

I really like how this film is presenting a very unique version of the Falcon, which, to me, looks even cooler than the classic look. Thanks to the trailers, and some new photos from Entertainment Weekly, we also got a look inside the Falcon, which is breathtakingly clean and sleek. It's really starting to look like Lando took way better care of the Millennium Falcon than Han ever did.
