Rogue One: A Star Wars Story isn't just an amazing film, it also broke new ground in the visual effects field. Bringing Grand Moff Tarkin, and the long deceased actor who portrayed him, Peter Cushing, back to the big screen was an immense feat for the filmmakers that has been turning a lot of heads.

The geniuses at Industrial Light and Magic utilized motion capture technology coupled with top of the line visual effects to help actor Guy Henry bring both Tarkin and Cushing back to life. Tonight's edition of Nightline will be taking a closer look at that process and revealing brand new behind the scenes footage and secrets. ABC News correspondent Clayton Sandell shared a preview from Nightline which shows the step-by-step process of applying Henry's digital mask. You can check that out below:

In Addition, Sandell shared some behind the scenes images from Rogue One, revealing that ILM made good use of Peter Cushing face mask to create their Tarkin for Rogue One:

Nightline airs tonight from 12:35am - 1:05am ET on ABC!
