Late last year we lost our beloved Princess, and General, Carrie Fisher. While we mourn her loss, it's important not to get too sad considering how much joy and humor she brought into the world.
One of Carrie's most hilariously legendary moments happened on the night of June 9th, 2005. Less than a month after the release of Revenge Of The Sith, the maker himself, George Lucas, was honored with the American Film Institute's 33rd annual Lifetime Achievement Award. A number of George's friends and colleagues were in attendance, and some even took the stage to say a few words.
Carrie was among them, and her speech quickly became a roast of Lucas which drew almost non-stop laughing and cheering from the crowd, even from George. It is a timeless gem that showcases Carrie's brilliant whit and humor. You can watch the roast in full below:
