The novelisation of Rogue One has been rescheduled for an earlier release date. Originally, the ebook version of the novel was set to debut in digital bookstores on December 16th, the same day the film is released, and the hardcover edition would hit physical booksellers next year on January. Now things have changed, and while the ebook will still be available on the 16th, the hardcover has been moved up to December 20th, just four days after Rogue One premieres.
Star Wars Books stated that the pre-orders of the book will automatically update to the new date, which will be of relief to many buyers.
Alexander Freed, author of upcoming Rogue One novelization
The novel, written by the author of Battlefront: Twilight Company, Alexander Freed, will be set around the film and star a band of rebels who launch a daring mission to obtain secret plans for the Death Star.
Are you happy with the change in release date? Is it too soon after the movie has come out or better to have the book earlier rather than later?
