Over ten years after it's release the beloved role playing video game Knights Of The Old Republic II - The Sith Lords has finally be released on two new platforms and received a long awaited update. The game, which is the sequel to the incredibly popular Knights Of The Old Republic, was first released back in 2004 for Windows and Xbox only. Now Mac and Linux users will be able to download and play KOTOR II from Steam. Additionally, those platforms, along with the PC version, have received an update that includes various new features, fixes and never before seen content. The original game was missing a great deal of things that were planned but ultimately cut from the game. The update will restore much of that lost content.
Steam released a statement earlier this week announcing the news and revealed some of the new features that are included with the update:
- 37 achievements to be earned through gameplay
- Steam Cloud saves
- Native widescreen resolution support
- Resolution support up to 4K and 5K
- Support for controllers, including Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3, 4 & others
- Steam Workshop support
- Force Special Effects menu option

The new and improved Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic II - The Sith Lords is now available for Windows, Mac and Linux on Steam and is currently on sale for $7.49. Now's the time to grab this classic game!
