Of course we're all very excited for the release of JJ Abrams' Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens this December, and Gareth Edwards' Star Wars: Rogue One in December 2016, but we needn't forget that Rian Johnson is hard at work now on his script for Star Wars: Episode VIII which is slated for a May 2017 release date. Johnson recently responded to a fans question about script writing, including an image of the notebooks he's been using while working on the script (though, sadly, they are closed).
