Recap Of 'The Untold Clone Wars' Panel At Celebration Anaheim

Last week at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim we learned a huge amount about the Star Wars Saga! But it wasn't all focused on the future of the story with panels devoted to The Force Awakens and Star Wars Rebels, Dave Filoni and several members of his talented crew, who are currently hard at work on Rebels. brought with them to Celebration a collection of clips, concept art, and tons of info from yet unreleased episodes of the now canceled animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The reveals took place during two awesome panels, the first being one held on the first day of the convention, titled "The Untold Clone Wars". Filoni and Pablo Hidalgo appeared on the Digital Stage along with stage host David Collins to discussed several story arcs in detail that would have made up seasons seven and beyond. The Star Wars Underworld team was in attendance and we we're determined to relay what was said and shown and the panel to those of you who could not be in the room. Dominic Jones, our head writer, live tweeted the panel. StarWars.com was kind enough to provide us with a collection of concept art that was shown at the panel. Its important to remain optimistic I think and keep pushing for more CW. The stories are there, they are written and many episodes are partially animated and some have completed voice acting. I think we will get it. I saw someone that attended the panel post on twitter that completed material is coming our way. There was no more info besides that yet. I look forward to seeing more, these clips and concept art look really good.

I think the only way the CW continues is via the other mediums such as books, comics, etc. I have a feeling some of the arcs they had in mind won't work with what's being created going forward (the Vong for example), so, even if they have Utapau-esque stuff ready that they could put together and release, the stories are no longer canon at this point...

I'd say, though, that you can definitely look forward to a box set containing all the episodes that aired plus the Lost Missions and everything else they have plus the sketch book they mentioned in the panel and tons of other extras...

The Clone Wars was created by George Lucas. All the episodes that were going to come out for the remaining season 6, and season's 7 and 8 are canon. Dave Filoni and Pablo Hidalgo said that in the interview when the Utapu arc came out. At the CW panel someone asked if they will make more comic books like for the finale arc from season 8 and the bad batch arc. They said probably not because Lucasfilm wants people to see the stories as they were intended to be seen. I agree. Theres such a demand for it. The Utapau arc, Bad Batch arc, and all the info and clips from future episodes that they showed us are a result of the fans and the save the clone wars campaign. I havent seen the bad batch arc yet but hopefully it will come out soon.

See the as was itended?! Implying that might actually happen someday?!?! Cool!! Of course that probably wouldn't be until after Rebels is over, but if it means we get actual episodes instead of books and comics, I'd be willing to wait. I just wish we'd gotten Son of Dathomir in all it's animated glory....

This is amazing! I really wish I could have made it these panels, but I caught in autograph lines. :( Regardless, I really hope we get to see completed episodes based on this material. Long Live George's Vision!
