Warning: This article contains spoilers from the Star Wars Rebels season one finale!
The first season of Star Wars Rebels went out with a bang earlier this week and successfully blew all our minds! The finale episode "Fire Across The Galaxy" saw the Ghost crew finally succeed in rescuing Kanan from Imperial captivity, ultimately leading to the demise of their nemesis of one villain and the return of another. But before the episode could finish, we were re-introduced to a beloved character from Star Wars: The Clone Wars; Ahsoka Tano. Star Wars fandom understandably let out a collective scream of joy at the sight of Ahsoka climbing down the ladder inside the Ghost. It seems that the fans' reaction even caught the creators of the series off guard.
Today, Executive producer Dave Filoni, who created Ahsoka alongside George Lucas for The Clone Wars, posted a message to social media about him and his crew's appreciation for the overwhelming response to the finale, and included a sketch of Ahsoka in her Rebels form. You can check it out below:

I think I can speak for all fans when I say; No, thank YOU, Dave & crew! All of us were brought to tears when Ahsoka walked down the steps of the Jedi Temple at the end of Season five of The Clone Wars, and when the series subsequently ended, we worried we would never see the young Torgruta again. Thank you for putting our fears to rest and making Ahsoka, what we can assume to be, a major part of Star Wars Rebels going forward. May the Force be with the cast & crew of this wonderful series! We hope to see it continue for many seasons to come!
