Video: 'Ahsoka Tano and Darth Vader: The Rise and Fall of a Friendship'

Warning: feels incoming! The Star Wars Rebels season two finale is coming up soon and will see several storylines come to a head, most notably the relationship between Ahsoka Tano and Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker. For years fans have anticipated and speculated about a confrontation between Ahsoka and Vader, and now it appears it's finally happening in the hour-long season finale "Twilight Of The Apprentice". For fans who watched Star Wars: The Clone Wars and saw Ahsoka develop as she did over the course of six seasons, this episode will no doubt be an emotional one regardless of its outcome.

Today, Lucasfilm released a video titled Ahsoka Tano and Darth Vader: The Rise and Fall of a Friendship, which features a montage of Anakin and Ahsoka's experiences. It's an incredible nostalgia trip covering everything from Ahsoka's introduction in The Clone Wars film to her departure from the Jedi Order in season five and her return in Star Wars Rebels. At the very end of the video we also get a new line of dialogue from Vader, one we can assume is from the season finale. You can check out the full video below:

"Our long awaited meeting has come at last."

Whoa! This episode is going to be incredible! You can catch "Twilight Of The Apprentice" on Disney XD at 9:00pm ET/PT on Wednesday, March 30th.

Rumor: All Six Current Star Wars Films Coming Soon to Netflix

By: Dominic Jones

UPDATE:  Sadly, it's not happening.  Screen Crush reached out to Netflix, who clarified that the listings were left over from their DVD days and that they have no news regarding the Star Wars films being added to their streaming library.

ORIGINAL STORY:
Disney made a huge splash earlier this year when they released the six current Star Wars films digitally earlier this year.  And while there were many platforms represented, there was one that was conspicuous by its absence, Netflix.  That seems to be on the verge of changing.  Exstreamist discovered this week that there are pages for the Star Wars films that already exist with the details about the films, though you still can't stream them.  The pages look like this,

If true, this would be very exciting and a great way for people who either want to get caught up on Star Wars before The Force Awakens hits this December and/or for people who get come out of seeing The Force Awakens and are so excited by it they want to watch the old movies (again, or for the first time).

Netflix first endeared themselves to Star Wars fans when they served as the home for the sixth and final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.  Netflix and Disney also have an extensive relationship which expands to original content under the Marvel banner.  There have been rumors that Netflix would be getting an original Star Wars series (or three!) and having the six films available for streaming may be another step in that direction.

As always this is just a rumor until confirmed or denied by Lucasfilm, Disney, or Netflix.

Star Wars Rebels Season Two Concept Art Revealed

By: Benjamin Hart

Season one of Star Wars Rebels ended earlier this week with it's thrilling and shocking final episode "Fire Across The Galaxy". Along with it came a special edition of Rebels Recon, the behind the scenes companion videos hosted by Lucasfilm's Andi Gutierrez. It featured interviews with the cast & crew discussing the mind blowing finale, and at the very end revealed a collection of concept art from season two of the series. Much of the artwork is hard to catch while watching the video, appearing in short flashes, so we slowed the video down and grabbed screenshots of all the concepts, which you can check out above and below! Included are our first looks at a new Rebel commander and some new Rebel ships including a squad of A-Wings and their pilots.

Warning: The following contains spoilers from the Star Wars Rebels season one finale & beyond!

You can view the rest of the art in the album below on our Facebook page!

Also be sure to watch the full Rebels Recon here!

Season two will premiere at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim this April, and will hit Television screens sometime later this year! Stay tuned to The Star Wars Underworld for more news on the upcoming season!

Dave Filoni Sends Thank You For Fan's Response To The 'Rebels' Finale

By: Benjamin Hart

Warning: This article contains spoilers from the Star Wars Rebels season one finale!

The first season of Star Wars Rebels went out with a bang earlier this week and successfully blew all our minds! The finale episode "Fire Across The Galaxy" saw the Ghost crew finally succeed in rescuing Kanan from Imperial captivity, ultimately leading to the demise of their nemesis of one villain and the return of another. But before the episode could finish, we were re-introduced to a beloved character from Star Wars: The Clone Wars; Ahsoka Tano. Star Wars fandom understandably let out a collective scream of joy at the sight of Ahsoka climbing down the ladder inside the Ghost. It seems that the fans' reaction even caught the creators of the series off guard.

Today, Executive producer Dave Filoni, who created Ahsoka alongside George Lucas for The Clone Wars, posted a message to social media about him and his crew's appreciation for the overwhelming response to the finale, and included a sketch of Ahsoka in her Rebels form. You can check it out below:

I think I can speak for all fans when I say; No, thank YOU, Dave & crew! All of us were brought to tears when Ahsoka walked down the steps of the Jedi Temple at the end of Season five of The Clone Wars, and when the series subsequently ended, we worried we would never see the young Torgruta again. Thank you for putting our fears to rest and making Ahsoka, what we can assume to be, a major part of Star Wars Rebels going forward. May the Force be with the cast & crew of this wonderful series! We hope to see it continue for many seasons to come!

Sarah Michelle Gellar Joins The 'Star Wars Rebels' Cast

By: Benjamin Hart

If you're not watching Star Wars Rebels already, you need to change that right now! The series premiered last year and has been getting better and better ever since, featuring many awesome guest stars such as Lando Calrissian and Yoda, all leading up to a mind blowing cameo in last night's season finale. But the shocking developments don't stop there, we have just received word that yet another big name guest star is coming to the show! Sarah Michelle Gellar, who is perhaps best know for playing the title role in Buffy The Vampire Slayer, has joined the cast of Star Wars Rebels. Gellar confirmed it earlier today on Instagram when she posted a photo of herself in the studio with Rebels executive producer Dave Filoni with the caption. "Anyone want to guess..." You can check it out below!

A photo posted by Sarah Michelle (@sarahmgellar) on

The most interesting aspect of this news is the fact that Gellar is actually the real life wife of Freddie Prinze Jr., who voices leading Jedi Kanan Jarrus on the series. It is unknown whether her role will be just a cameo, or her character will have a sizable part in the series. Nevertheless, it will be awesome to have "Buffy" herself finally join the Star Wars universe!
