Is This Our First Look At Chewbacca In Episode VII?

With production on Star Wars Episode VII ramping up in London as of late, it seems we might have our first look at a certain Walking Carpet from the film. Yesterday on May the 4th(Star Wars day) the official Star Wars Instagram shared a photo of Disney CEO Bob Iger standing in front of none other than Chewbacca himself.

Now the big question is; is this really from the set of Episode VII? Bob Iger could easily be posing with an official Lucasfilm Chewbacca that isn't Peter Mayhew at some kind of special event. The caption on the photo, " Chairman’s new co-pilot" certainly doesn't tell us anything. But let's also consider this; principal photography for Episode VII is expected to begin very soon, and Peter Mayhew himself has not only been confirmed to be in the film, but can be seen in the cast photo released last week from London. Costume fittings would no doubt be happening by now, and it's also not far fetched to think Bob Iger might have visited the set as well.

With that said, what do you think? Is this Peter in the suit on set? Or something entirely different? Let us know in the comments below, or on Facebook and Twitter.

Update: Rumor has it the official Star Wars UK Twitter confirmed that this is indeed the Episode VII Chewbacca. But the tweet appears to have been deleted.

Update #2: From Club Jade - "Noteworthy: StarWars.com’s Matt Martin says “The image was supplied to is without much context. No idea where/when it was taken.” And the official (well, verified) @StarWarsUK account says it is from Episode VII, but Matt says it was only speculation on their part. Curious."
