(Aprils Fools')BREAKING: Hasbro Producing 'Star Wars: Friendship is Magic' Series

By Chris Seekell

The following is a fake news article for April Fools' day 2014:

The Star Wars Underworld has received exclusive information from an inside source at Disney that Hasbro is in pre-production of a Star Wars - My Little Pony crossover series entitled Star Wars: Friendship is Magic. The series will combine elements from the Star Wars and My Little Pony franchises. Our insider was able to provide us with the above logo, and state some general information about the series.

"Star Wars and My Little Pony are currently two of the most popular franchises that have active fanbases. Disney wants to combine that power. Hasbro recognized that while My Little Pony has a diverse audience of both females and males of all ages, the series to this point has been targeted towards young girls, including mainly female characters. Now, Hasbro has been given the green light by Disney to start working on a new animated series, that fuses the exciting, action-adventure oriented Star Wars universe, with the great moral stories told in My Little Pony about the value of friendship.

The series will feature the Star Wars characters we know and love, drawn in the iconic animation style of My Little Pony, and will consist of episodes to fill a half-hour time-slot across multiple Disney owned stations."

Along with the logo, the Disney insider was also able to send us a photo of the following early concept sketch featuring Boba Fett drawn in the My Little Pony style.

The insider also told us that the official announcement date from Disney has yet to be locked down, as no episodes have been fully completed yet. However, cast and crew from both Star Wars and My Little Pony animated projects are working together to create the series.

Stay tuned to The Star Wars Underworld as further information about this new series breaks.
