Rumor: Episode VII to Begin Filming May 14th in Morocco

Tired of April Fools Day pranks?  Well here's a rumor instead!  Bad Ass Digest is reporting that Star Wars Episode VII will begin shooting on May 14th in Morocco.   Shooting there is rumored to be two weeks long.   The assumption is the scenes shot there will be taking place on Tatooine.

Now there is a chance that this is one the tamest April Fools pranks of all time, but I'm willing to categorize this an actual rumor, seeing as there is nothing remotely funny or cringe inducing about it.  The rumor is also supported by the team over at Jedi News who say this rumor lines up with their information (and they're based in the UK, where it's no longer April Fools Day!)

Looking at the Moroccan terrain, one can definitely see how it could easily double for Tatooine.  I for one am really hoping that Episode VII continues the tradition of having the first film in a Star Wars trilogy take place on the desert planet farthest from the bright center of the universe.  Regardless, we'll find out if this rumor is true in about six weeks.
