The Emperor is coming to Essen! The official Star Wars Celebration website has announced that Ian McDiarmid, Emperor Palpatine/Darth Sidious himself, will be appearing at Star Wars Celebration Europe II this July 26-28 at the Messe Essen in Essen, Germany. McDiarmid will be there to sign autographs and take part in a live interview on the Celebration Stage.
After years of not making convention appearances, Ian McDiarmid certainly seems to be getting into the swing of the convention scene. After making his proper debut at Celebration VI last Summer in Orlando, Florida, McDiarmid made follow up appearances at Fan Days in Texas and New York Comic Con and is scheduled to make an appearance at the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo (April 24-26).
