One of the new characters we'll be meeting in Star Wars Episode IX, is a character played by Keri Russell (The Americans, Felicity). Russell's character remains shrouded in secret, however the actress appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert last night and host Stephen Colbert did his best to get some details about the film from Russel. She didn't say much, however she say, "I do have the coolest costume." You can see the full interview below,

By: Dominic Jones
Late last week, Star Wars: The Last Jedi actress Kelly Marie Tran (Rose Tico) deleted her Instagram account after months of harassment from racists and misogynists who are using Star Wars as an excuse to harass people. The following days have seen a wave of people coming out in support of Tran and to condemn these so-called "fans" who think what they are doing is even remotely acceptable. One of the highest profile people to do so is The Late Show host Stephen Colbert, who addressed the news in one of his monologues and then shared a parody trailer for Star Wars Episode IX: Shut The Hell Up You Broken Hateful Dweebs. With the release of the new trailer for Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens last week, it was a natural topic for discussion on various the late night talk shows. Star Wars References on 'The Colbert Report' Finale
By: Dominic Jones
Comedy icon Stephen Colbert aired the final episode of his show The Colbert Report last night ending a nine year run of comedy gold. Colbert went out with a bang and, of course, a few Star Wars references!
First Colbert joked that this was not actually the end of his show and that JJ Abrams would be rebooting the series in ten years, promising to "wreck some s**t with one of those new lightsabers."
The during his celebrity filled sing along of the 1939 song We'll Meet Again, both Star Wars creator George Lucas and The force Awakens director JJ Abrams appeared. Lucas was in studio singing along with the likes of Bryan Cranston, James Franco, and Cookie Monster, while Abrams appeared via satellite, sitting in front a screen with the lyrics to We'll Meet Again in Star Wars crawl form. Both Abrams and Lucas had been guests on The Colbert Report at one point or another over the past nine years (you can see part of Lucas' appearance in the Star Wars Parodies documentary on the Star Wars Complete Saga blu-ray).
From everyone here at the SWU, congrats Stephen "the original Star Wars fan' Colbert on your incredible run and May The Force Be With You when you take over for Letterman this May!

Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert Battle For "Biggest Star Wars Fan" Title in 'Force for Change' Promo
By: Dominic Jones
The two funniest men in television have gotten on board with the Star Wars: Force for Change Initiative. The Daily Show's Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report's Stephen Colbert appeared in a hilarious promo for the Force for Change, in which they battled over who was the biggest Star Wars fan and, as a result, who would be in Star Wars Episode VII (the current grand prize in the Force for Change).
Check out the video below,
It's great to see some A-list celebrities getting involved with Force for Change. It probably didn't take much convincing to get Colbert and Stewart to appear in the video as both are huge Star Wars fans. Colbert once got George Lucas to create a special Revenge of the Sith parody (starring him, of course), and Stewart hosted The Main Event, an hour long interview with Lucas, at Celebration V in 2010.
