For the past few years our pal Jamie Stangroom has been on a mission to discover the identity of the stormtrooper who bumped their head in a scene in Star Wars: A New Hope.  Now, he's compiled the evidence and produced his results in the form of the new documentary, The Empire Strikes Door, which you can watch now on YouTube.

Clerks and Jay and Silent Bob Reboot director JJ Abrams was everywhere during San Diego Comic Con last weekend, talking about all his favourite things.  This, of course, included Star Wars.  During an interview with IGN, he spoke about his visit to the set of Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker last year.  He revealed that during his visit, members of the crew told him to ask director JJ Abrams to let him visit a very specific set for a very specific scene.  Smith then recalled that Abrams told him that the set in question was for the very final shot of the film and that he would regret having the experience of seeing it in a movie theater spoiled if he saw the set.

Just as he did with the set of The Force Awakens, director and professional fan of stuff, Kevin Smith paid a visit to his pal JJ Abrams on the set of his latest movie, Star Wars Episode IX.  Smith (Clerks, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back) appeared on Good Morning America today and told the hosts about what it was like to be on the set of the next Star Wars film and watch Abrams at working directing it.  You can see Smith talk about it in the clip below,

Domhnall Gleeson Reveals The Moment He Asked For In 'The Last Jedi'

General Hux spends much of The Last Jedi being pushed around by other characters.  Whether it's Snoke, Kylo Ren, or even Poe Dameron, Hux frequently finds himself at the mercy of others.  But there is one moment where he considers taking control for himself.  When Kylo Ren is knocked out following his showdown with Rey and Hux considers drawing his blaster and ending Ren once and for all.  Ultimately Ren wakes up and Hux puts his blaster away, for the time being. This moment was apparently the request of actor Domhnall Glesson, who revealed in a recent interview with filmmaker Kevin Smith for IMDb that he asked director Rian Johnson to include a moment where the audience is reminded what kind of character Hux really is.

Kevin Smith Has Seen A "Chunk" Of 'The Force Awakens', And He Loved It

It's hard not to be jealous of Kevin Smith. The legendary Podcaster and filmmaker made headlines last year when he visited the set of Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens and subsequently discussed his emotional experience climbing aboard the Millennium Falcon. Now Smith is back talking Star Wars, and this time it seems he's actually seen at least some of the film itself. Epic Stream reports that Smith spoke vaguely about seeing a portion of a certain film on a recent episode of his Hollywood Babble-On Podcast. He's careful not to mention any names or titles for obvious reasons, but it's heavily implied that the film is indeed The Force Awakens. Here's what he had to say:

“I saw a buddy of mine, a fellow filmmaker friend, who is making this movie that is so f***ing wonderful. And I saw a chunk of it. And it was… spellbinding. This is the only way I can describe it. It’s like, I love movies and sometimes I over praise them and s**t, but this is the only way I can describe this: it was like – not figuratively, literally – being transported to the fountain of youth. And having the fountain of youth take me back to 1977. First time I saw a picture called Star Wars. I can’t say much more.”

You can listen to his comments, which happen early on in the episode, by clicking here. But be warned, lots of NSFW language is included in typical Kevin Smith fashion.

Just earlier today we heard from Han Solo himself, Harrison Ford, who also had high praise for the film. While I still don't want to set my expectations too high, it's certainly encouraging to hear things like this and makes the wait until December 18th that much harder.

Tonight's New 'The Force Awakens' Trailer Made Kevin Smith Cry "Tears of Joy"

Director and podcaster Kevin Smith has not been shy with his excitement for the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens.  Today was no exception.  Smith took to Twitter today to share his thoughts on the trailer that the rest of us have to wait until ESPN's Monday Night Football game tonight between the Eagles and the Giants to see.  Below is Smith's reaction,

Smith got the attention of Star Wars fans when he visited the set last summer during filming.  Smith spoke glowingly about his visit, without giving away spoilers.  He later gained Star Wars headlines during San Diego Comic Con where he followed up the Star Wars panel in Hall H - only it was mostly empty for his panel because JJ Abrams invited the entire audience to a live outdoor concert of Star Wars music.

We'll all get our chance to see if we have the same reaction as Smith when the trailer airs tonight during Monday Night Football on ESPN.
