We are now two years removed from the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story and the fan's admiration for the film continues to grow despite its disappointing box office numbers. #MakeSolo2Happen, a popular hashtag as of of late, has been part of a grassroots movement asking Lucasfilm to give Solo a much deserved sequel. While new Star Wars films seem to only be on the distant horizon, we just might be getting a Solo sequel(s) in an unexpected way.

New 'Solo' Behind the Scenes Clips Focus On L3-37

Before Solo: A Star Wars Story is released as a digital download tomorrow, Lucasfilm has released two new preview clip from the behind the scenes bonus material that will be included with the film.  The clip focuses on the character L3-37, played by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and her characterization as a droid on the hunt for equal rights.  The clips were first released by Vanity Fair.

Alden Ehrenreich Recalls How He Reacted When He Was Cast As Han Solo

In a new preview of the bonus materials that will be included on the home media release of Solo: A Star Wars Story, Han Solo actor Alden Ehrenreich recounted how he spent his day after finding out he got the role of a lifetime.  The clip, which was released by Fandango and is part of the "Solo: The Director & Cast Roundtable" featurette, shows Alden telling his cast mates what it was like to be case as Han Solo.  The story is later described by his co-star Donald Glover (Lando Calrissian) as, "the most Alden answer I've ever heard."  Check out the clip below,

New 'Solo' Behind The Scenes Featurette Highlights Bradford Young's Work

Lucasfilm has released a new preview for the bonus materials being included with the home media release of Solo: A Star Wars Story.  A new one minute video was posted on the Disney D23 Twitter account, which shines the spotlight on cinematographer Bradford Young.  In the video Young, as well as cast members Woody Harrelson (Beckett) and Donald Glover (Lando) discussing how he lights his sets on films.  Check out the video below,

Donald Glover Stars In SNL's "Lando's Summit" Sketch

Donald Glover, aka Lando Calrissian in Solo: A Star Wars Story, hosted (and was the musical guest, as Childish Gambino, on) NBC's Saturday Night Live this past weekend.  With Solo hitting theaters this month, of course, Glover reprised his role as Lando for a sketch which humorously points out the lack of black characters in Star Wars.  Glover is joined in the sketch by SNL regulars Kenan Thompson (once again playing Saw Gerrera, which he first did last year when Rogue One star Felicity Jones hosted), Leslie Jones, and Chris Redd.  You can see the sketch for yourself below,

Lucasfilm Launches #RoarForChange Charitable Initiative in Support of UNICEF

With May the 4th (aka Star Wars Day) coming up tomorrow, Lucasfilm has launched a new charitable initiative called #RoarForChange.  The challenge is for fans to upload a video of themselves doing their best Wookiee impression to Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, and Disney will donate $1 for every video uploaded, as well as for every share and like on those videos (up to $1 million).  The money raised will go to support UNICEF and their efforts to improve and save the lives of children all around the world.

Lucasfilm has just released a new behind the scenes video promoting the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story later this month featuring Lando Calrissian actor Donald Glover taking the audience on a tour of the Millennium Falcon set.  The video, which debuted in select cinemas before screenings of Avengers: Infinity War shows fans what the Falcon looks like when Lando owns it--before Han gets in there and makes a few "special modifications."  Check out the video below,

New Footage From 'Solo: A Star Wars Story' Screened at CinemaCon

With just over a month until Lucasfilm releases Solo: A Star Wars Story in theaters, the studio debuted a new preview clip from the film at CinemaCon, the annual event National Association of Theatre Owners hold in Las Vegas.  The clip from the film features the first meeting of Han Solo (played by Alden Ehrenreich) and Lando Calrissian (played by Donald Glover).  The duo are introduced by Qi'Ra (Emilia Clarke) and their first interaction involves a card game.  The scene was described by Anthony D'Alessandro for Deadline, who writes,

More 'Solo: A Star Wars Story' Images Released

A couple of new still images from Solo: A Star Wars Story were released online today by Entertainment Weekly.  The first image features Alden Ehrenreich as young Han Solo next to Chewbacca (played by Joonas Suotamo) in the dingy looking bar that we've seen a couple of times in the trailer.  The other features another look at Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian in his fur coat.  In addition, Ehrenreich, Glover, and director Ron Howard spoke with EW's Anthony Breznican about the film.

Ron Howard Shares New Image of Donald Glover as Lando From 'Solo'

Solo: A Star Wars Story director Ron Howard shared a new image of Donald Glover as Lando Clarissian from the visual effects review on the film he was overseeing this weekend.  The director posted the image on Instagram and it shows Glover in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon as it appears to be traveling through hyperspace.  Howard posted about the image, "From our #ilmvfx review today. #DonaldGlover #landocalrissian #miliniumfalcon #Solo" (he acknowledged for the typo in the comments).  Check out the image below,

Donald Glover Shares Glimpse At Lando On The Falcon

Donald Glover Talks About Shooting Scenes on the Millennium Falcon in 'Solo'

When Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theaters in May, we'll be seeing the Millennium Falcon as we've never seen in before.  Not only will the Falcon reportedly look different than ever before but, according to actor Donald Glover (who plays a young Lando Calrissian in the film), director Ron Howard has come up with some inventive new ways of shooting scenes aboard the iconic ship.  Glover spoke about working with Howard on Solo during a recent Television Critics Association panel for his FX series Atlanta (which he writes, produces, directs, and stars in and recently began production on its second season).

Donald Glover had a great night at the Emmys on Sunday, picking up Emmys for Best Actor in a Comedy Series and Best Directing for a Comedy Series for his work on the FX Atlanta, which he created.  Entertainment Tonight asked Glover, who stars a Lando Calrissian in the upcoming young Han Solo movie, if he would be interested in directing a future Star Wars movie.

Donald Glover Talks About Han Solo Movie Directors Change and Meeting Billy Dee

There's no denying the untitled young Han Solo film has had more than its share of problems.  Back in June, directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller were fired, despite having been working on the film since 2015 and shooting since January, and replaced by Ron Howard (who is still at work on principle photography).  The news was a shock to Star Wars fans and, apparently, to members of the cast.  Donald Glover, who plays Lando in the film, spoke with The Hollywood Reporter recently and (of course) the topic of the change came up.
