Earlier this year, Lucasfilm and Disney announced Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, a upcoming two-night hotel experience opening at Disney World in Florida. The hotel is an entirely in-universe cruise-like experience, where guests board a luxury starcruiser for an adventure that will include interactions with Star Wars characters like Rey and Chewbacca and a port-day visit to Black Spire Outpost on Batuu (aka the Galaxy's Edge theme park).
Today, Disney announced that the experience will open in 2021 at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. The announcement was made on the official Disney Parks Blog, where the experience is described as follows, "This is a new type of immersive vacation that only Disney could create – a two-night, cruise-style itinerary where you’ll become the hero of your own adventure in an experience that surrounds you 24/7 in Star Wars storytelling."
New artist concept renderings of the beginning of the experience at the "Starcruiser Terminal" and the pods that take you to Black Spire Outpost (both of which will be completely in-universe) were also released. Check them out below,
No word yet on the price of the experience (though you can bet it won't be cheap).
