New 'The Mandalorian' Preview Debuts During Monday Night Football

With the debut episode of The Mandalorian dropping tomorrow with the launch of Disney+, the new streaming service, Lucasfilm has released a final pre-series preview for the season.  The preview was released during Monday Night Football tonight on ESPN.  The preview begins with an extended clip featuring The Mandalorian getting into a bar fight (one that we've seen teased in almost every trailer and TV spot), followed by a new teaser trailer for the series.  You can watch the new preview below,

There's not a tonne of new footage in the trailer portion (especially if you've been keeping up with all the TV spots), but the clip that the preview opens with is awesome!  After we'd seen the moment with the Mando catching the Quarren in the round doorway in so many other previews, I started to worry the moment itself wouldn't live up to the hype.  Boy, was I wrong.

The Mandalorian is set following the events of Return of the Jedi and follows the adventures of a "lone gunfighter", as he navigates the galaxy in the post-Empire/early days of the New Republic.  If you haven't seen the old trailer, you can check it out below,

The series debuts on November 12th (tomorrow!!) on Disney+, and stars Pedro Pascal as The Mandalorian, Gina Carrano as Cara Dune, Carl Weathers as Greef Carga, and Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon, as well as Nick Nolte, Werner Herzog, Emily Swallow, and Omid Abtahi in unknown roles.  The Mandalorian is executive produced by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, with episodes directed by Filoni, Bryce Dallas Howard, Deborah Chow, and Rick Famuyiwa, and Taika Waititi.
