The final trailer for Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker has been released, at long last! And with it comes the full official roll out of all promotional material for the film. Included is the theatrical poster for The Rise Of Skywalker, which Lucasfilm just released.
The poster appears to be a throwback of sorts to old school Star Wars posters. It features a white border with characters positioned in classic poses. On the poster itself we see Poe Dameron, Finn, Chewbacca, Zorii Bliss, Lando Calrissian, Rose Tico, Jannah, C-3PO, R2-D2, and D-O. All are overshadowed by Rey, who is menaced by the helmeted form Kylo Ren in the background. We also see the Millennium Falcon, Imperial Star Destroyers, TIE Fighters, X-Wings, and more. You can see it for yourself below:
Personally, I think this is one of the strongest film posters we've seen in this new era. Previous posters, especially the ones for The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, tended to become too cluttered and not focused enough. This one feels very straight forward and evokes a nostalgic feel, which is probably exactly what they were going for. I can't wait to see one of these in person at a theater soon!
Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker opens in cinemas on December 20th! If you haven't already, watch the trailer here!
