Empire Magazine continues to tease their upcoming issue that will be focused on Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker. Earlier in the week we were treated to some stunning cover art, along with a new photo of the Knights Of Ren. Now Empire has revealed a brand new image, as well as a fascinating interview snippet.

The image shows Supreme Leader Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and a squad of Stomtroopers literally being blown away in what appears to be some type of First Order installation or ship. Whether Ren is witnessing some type of explosion, or perhaps a ship is jumping to Hyperspace, remains to be seen. Click the photo below to view it in full:

In addition, Empire debuted a sample of their interview with The Rise Of Skywalker co-writer Chris Terrio where he discusses he and fellow writer J.J. Abrams further developed the relationship between Kylo Ren and Rey:

“Some of the most interesting scenes in The Last Jedi are the conversations between Rey and Ren. We’ve tried to pick up that complicated relationship that really has been present ever since the interrogation in Episode VII. When Ren takes off his mask, there’s a nakedness about him with Rey that he doesn’t express to anyone else. Rian[Johnson] developed that in fascinating ways and we’ve been able to develop it even further.”

This issue of Empire will hit newsstands on October 3rd! And Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker itself will arrive in theaters on December 20th!
