For everyone itching to learn more about Sequel Trilogy era, especially the time period leading up to Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker, an upcoming comic series is about to make you very happy.

A few months back Lucasfilm revealed the full slate of books that will be part of the Journey To The Rise Of Skywalker line, which included the comic series Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker – Allegiance. The four issue limited series from Marvel will lead into the upcoming film by catching up with with Rey, Finn, Poe, Leia and others after the events of The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. The synopsis for the comic reads:

"On the run since the destruction of the Starkiller Base, General Leia and the remaining handful of Resistance have barely managed to survive, much less strike back against the superior forces of the First Order. Running low on options, Leia decides to reach out to her former allies, the Mon Calamari, whose shipyards once powered the Rebel Alliance."

And today, courtesy of Comics Beat, we now have our first look at some artwork from the comic, created by Marco Checchetto. The art features an assortment of heroes and villains in various intriguing situations(what exactly is Rey fighting on the far left?). You can check out the artwork in all its glory below(and you can download a HD version by clicking here):

Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker - Allegiance is written by Ethan Sacks with art by Luke Ross. Issues #1, #2, #3 and #4 will be released October 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th, respectively.
