One of the biggest surprises at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) was LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga! The game is the newest installment in the long running LEGO Star Wars series and promises to recreate all nine Skywalker saga films in LEGO bricks, from The Phantom Menace all the way to The Rise Of Skywalker.

We didn't get much information about this new video game with the initial announcement and trailer, but thankfully TT Games, the developer behind Lego Star Wars, has since provided some fascinating new details. In a lengthy tweet they reveal some "fun facts" that shed some light on what we can expect from The Skywalker Saga.

It's confirmed that this game will not feature content from previous LEGO Star Wars games and is a completely new game built (pun intended) from the ground up. In addition, you will be able to play all nine films in "any order" and freely visit all the planets from the entire saga. The over 200 playable characters in the game will be fully voiced, and the classic two player co-op system will indeed be part of the gameplay. TT Games also teases over the shoulder shooting, new Force powers and melee combos.

And if you want to learn more about LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, be sure to listen to the most recent episode of The Star Wars Underworld Podcast. Our very own Chris Seekell attended E3 and got a first hand look at the game and it's many features. He dropped some exclusive tidbits that are sure to get you even more excited about this game. You can find that Podcast below, or by clicking here!

And for an extra bit of fun, on Facebook LEGO released a video showing how they built a life-size version of the LEGO Han in Carbonite that was on display at E3:

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is set to debut on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Nintendo Switch sometime in 2020!
