Two Star Wars film soundtracks have the chance to bring home some hardware at this year's Grammy Awards.  Both Solo: A Star Wars Story and Star Wars: The Last Jedi were nominated.  John Williams was nominated for Best Score Soundtrack For Visual Media for his work on The Last Jedi, and John Powell, along with Williams, was nominated for Best Instrumental Composition for the track "Mine Mission" from Solo.  The Grammys will be held on February 10th.

The Last Jedi soundtrack was previously nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Soundtack, but lost to The Shape of Water.  Sadly, Solo will not be nominated for that award this year's upcoming ceremony due to, according to Variety, Disney failing to enter the film into the race by the deadline.

Congratulations to John Williams and John Powell on their nominations and best of luck on February 10th!
